1st Day of Kindergarten

Dakota started kindergarten last week. That first day was so emotional for me. Letting my baby go was hard.

Things are going good and Dakota is loving school. I'm enjoying the time to myself too.

Thanksgiving Point

In the month of August, Thanksgiving Point was doing a $2 Tuesday deal. We ended up going 3 times that month.

We first went to the Children's Discovery Gardens with my MOPS playgroup.

They had a lot for the kids to discover. Here Koda is playing music.

The next week Koda and I went to the Dinosaur Museum.

The last week in August we went to Farm Country with some friends.

What a cute calf. Koda loved petting it.

We went on a wagon ride. And later Dakota helped put the big horses back in their stall.

They had an old western area with a dance hall and jail.

Finally, she got to ride the horse she wanted.

Happy Birthday Koda

I know what everyone is thinking. It's been almost 2 months since her birthday and I'm just getting her party pics up. Sorry.

My Koda Bug just turned 5 in April. Wow! The time flies by sooo fast.
Every year on her birthday we just do something small with family usually, but this year was her BIG birthday party. We spoiled her. She wanted a princess party at a bounce house, so we booked the castle room at Jump 'N Bounce. It was so fun.
She helped pick out the invites and invited so many friends. We got princess crowns for every girl and did a cute girly goody bag with jewelry and candy.

They had a big slide that the kids loved. Even some of the adults liked it.

Too many pictures of gifts but here's a couple things she got. The pony purse was from her Uncle Eph along with $5 in it. The easy bake oven was from us.

Family Date Night

So, every once in awhile we go out on family dates. This time we decided to go bowling. We had so much fun.

Surprise

The wait is over. I am finally posting the pictures from our trip.

We arrived at the airport 1 hour before scheduled take off.  15 minutes before boarding we found out that the flight was delayed. We were stuck at the airport for 4 extra hours. So...

We decided to go play in the play area.

We finally boarded and now waited for take off.

Finally, we arrived to our destination. I was hoping to surprise Melissa by driving to her house unexpectedly. Yeah, it didn't turn out that way. Oh well, she was still surprised.

Everyone had so much fun. Especially the girls.

We went to the Super Jump and had a ball.

I got to see my nephew for the first time. Oh my goodness, he is adorable!!

I enjoyed spending time with the girls.

But I really loved being with my sister the most.

Well, it was time for us to leave. We got to the airport and before security, we said our goodbyes and took a few more pictures. 

Then we had to wait again for a delayed flight back home. Luckily it wasn't too long of a wait.
